Drillers sign Vukasin and Morgan from Alaska

The Louisiana Drillers, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce the signing of Brandon Vukasin and Gunner Morgan, teammates from Anchorage, Alaska.

Brandon, a 19 year old Center, scored 42 points in 35 games for the Alaska All Stars U18 team coached by Jeff  Barney.  "Vuck is a very skilled offensive player that has a nose for the net and very soft hands that will fit in very well at the Junior Hockey level because of his good work ethic on and off the ice", Barney said.

Gunner, an 18 year old Defensemen, scored 8 points in 33 games.  "Gunner is a very skilled two way player that will sacrifice his body to block a shot and then turn around and find the back of the net on the other side of the ice and I'm very excited to see these two players progression under Kevin's coaching", Barney said.

Head Coach, Kevin "Killer" Kaminski, is very excited about these signings as they will be a big part of the foundation we built last year and the commitment to two way passionate hockey.  Barney said, "these young men both bring leadership with their work ethic and skill and have the determination to develop to get to the next level".  We hope with these two signings that Alaska will be a great place to funnel players into the Driller Organization.

The Louisiana Drillers will be a part of the Elite Junior Hockey Camp along with the Odessa Jackalopes of the NAHL and the Melville Millionaires of the SJHL to be held on May 31-June 2 in Anchorage, Alaska and look forward to scouting other players in the area.
