Drillers sign Zach Smith from Florida

The Louisiana Drillers, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce the signing of 17 year old defensemen, Zach Smith from Orlando, Florida.

"As a defensemen, Zach has an offensive side of the game that is hard to find, moves the puck well on the power play and will bring a relentless work ethic and desire to win every day", said former Coach John Snowden.  However Snowden believes his best quality is his will to be a hockey player and his elite character off the ice.

“After watching tape and from the things I have heard on Zach, we are excited to find this diamond in the rough and we are excited to work and develop him", said Coach Kevin Kaminski.  Kaminski further states, "We believe he has great tangibles with his skill level and vision to see and move the puck, but what I really like is that he is coachable and has a relentless work ethic and great passion for the game".

The Drillers are extremely happy to add Zach to our roster and we hope to help him achieve his dream of playing at a higher level.

The Louisiana Drillers will hold their Main Camp on August 25-29 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
