Late goal helps the Drillers defeat the Jr. Stars 3-2

Brandon Vukasin scored the game winning goal late in the game as the Louisiana Drillers defeat the the Euless Jr. Stars 3-2 in a home game at Planet Ice in Louisiana. In addition, the Louisiana Drillers' offense had a big night, peppering Euless with 61 shots throughout the game.

Timothy Zittel contributed with 2 goals and Niki Raiskio chipped in with 2 assists. Tristan Wilson delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Zittel opened the scoring for the Drillers with a goal at 15:10 with helpers from Raiskio and Van Gemerden.

In the third, Zittel put in a goal at 4:20 with helpers from his teammates Walerowicz and Van Gemerden. Delaney quickly followed with a goal at 5:33 with assists from his linemates, Wilson and Sheridan. Wilson deposited a goal at 12:44 with helpers from his linemates, Chavez and Deacon. Vukasin answered for the Drillers with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:34 with an assist from defenseman Raiskio.

Louisiana’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Seppinen’s big night as he stopped 43 of the 45 shots he faced. Seppinen’s counterpart, Hart, also had a big night, managing to stop 58 of 61, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Louisiana Drillers’ record to (32-56-4-0)
