Dunner lifts Texas over Louisiana, 7-3

Ryan Dunner was all over the ice for Texas, as he tallied two goals in Texas' 7-3 win over Louisiana.
Dunner scored at 10:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Texas and again while 16:11 into the second to make the score 4-2 Texas.
Texas managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Texas finished below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. Texas' offense rang up 46 shots on Louisiana's net. Texas surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Texas averages 4.5 goals per game.
Texas additionally got points from Chase Deacon, who also registered one goal and one assist and George Hansen, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Oliver Hay also scored for Texas. Other players who recorded assists for Texas were Sean McAndrews, Victor Ekk, Bryan Whelan, Dakota Davis, Bennett Weycker, and Noah Klinsky, who contributed one each and Kyle Torgerson and Niklas McCallum, who each chipped in two.
The defensemen of Louisiana were also effective in Texas' zone, and came away with three goals.
Louisiana was led by Tucker Alspaugh, who finished with two goals. Alspaugh scored the first of his two goals at 13:10 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Texas. Brayden Hutchinson assisted on the tally. Alspaugh's next tally made the score 5-3 Texas with 13:38 left in the third period. Jacob Istre picked up the assist. Louisiana also got a goal from Jeremy Brown as well. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Davis VanGemerden, who had two and Jonathan Hebert and Timothy Zittel, who contributed one each.
Tyler Myers took the win and made 12 saves before being replaced by Brandon Perrone who made two saves. Texas registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Alex Domas recorded 39 saves for Louisiana. Louisiana incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
