The Louisiana Drillers, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that Mitch Dolese will be returning for the 2016-17 season.
Mitch, a native of Mandeville, Louisiana, has played hockey in New Orleans, New York and now again in Lafayette. The rugged defensemen scored 5 goals and added 10 assists in his first season of play in the NA3HL. Dolese said, “It’s great to be back with the Drillers for another season and to be able to play in front of such a passionate fan base and with having my rookie season under my belt, I’m ready to be in a leadership role and contribute to the team in all situations”.
Mitch has spent a good part of the summer in Lafayette, working out and skating on the ice in preparation for the upcoming season. "The team is looking for big things from Mitch after a solid first year in the NA3HL as he brings a steadiness and calmness to the defense, is a dman who does not get beat 1 on 1 and is always in good position”, said Head Coach Kevin Kaminski. Kaminski wants to challenge Mitch, “he’s got an offensive upside to his game, but the thing I would like to see him improve on is his quickness and moving the puck to the open guy and join the rush to get open with a give and go”.
The Drillers look forward to Mitch becoming a leader by contributing on both ends of the ice and are extremely happy that Mitch is returning this year!
The Louisiana Drillers will hold their Main Camp on August 25-29 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
